Farmers to be compensated 64.7% more for land acquired for Yamuna Expressway belt

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved 64.7% increase in compensation for farmers whose lands were acquired by the authority. The additional burden would be passed on to builders and developers who have already bought land from the authority. We discuss the pros and cons of this decision by the authority and analyse the possibility of increase in property prices along the Yamuna Expressway due to this move by YEIDA. (Audio in Hindi)
