Prime Time: Ground report from Haryana’s rice belt

We visit Karnal in the state of Haryana which is known to be the ‘rice bowl of India’, and speak to millers and farmers to take note of their concerns. With farmers cultivating rice suffering losses, the Centre and the state governments point fingers at one another. We try to dig deeper into the insecurities involved in rice cultivation and also try to find whether there are persons with vested interests who draw profits at the expense of the farmers.
