Goodbye Bangalore, Hello Bengaluru

Bangalore. Garden city, pensioners’ paradise, IT capital of India – this one city has many names. Now coming full circle, it will have a new name that is actually its old name, Bengaluru. From today, Karnataka’s Rajyotsava Day, the name of the city of Bangalore officially changes to Bengaluru. Apart from Bangalore, 11 other towns and cities in the state will also revert to their older names.
