Terry Walsh leaves door ajar after sports minister steps in to stop resignation

Terry Walsh has gone back to Australia leaving sports officials in India guessing about his return as India’s chief hockey coach. Wash’s contract with Sports Authority of India expires Wednesday and the Australian coach, who guided India to the Asian Games gold in Incheon, is reluctant to extend his stay after Hockey India boss Narinder Batra alleged financial fraud against him. Sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal has now stepped in to end the impasse but Walsh in unlikely to decide in a hurry.
