Supreme Court recommends keeping tainted officials out of BCCI elections
News Point: A debate on whether corruption is deep rooted Indian cricket and whether there is a way to ensure transparency and cleanliness of the game. The Supreme Court suggested terminating CSK from the IPL because one of its officials – Gurunath Meiyappan being indicted for betting. In addition, IPL President N Srinivasan himself owns stakes in the CSK which the court observed as creating a conflict of interest. (Audio in Hindi)
