Good governance day: Political farce or genuine push?

A ‘Swacch’ India, a more transparent government, a more engaging government, a government for the people – all part of the definition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Good Governance Day’, which on any other day could mark the testimony of why the BJP is the single largest party in the country, but not today. The government decided to observe December 25 as ‘Good Governance Day’ with the PM leading the way, but it meant a working Christmas for many government officials, and the Opposition was quick to slam the move.
