January 19, 1990 – a date etched in the minds of Kashmiri Pandits. That night, not only did they lose their homes, they also lost their identity. The green valley according to them is now barren and they feel that by making their voices heard in an international capital will bring the much needed attention to humanitarian crises almost ignored by the world.
