Priceless 2000-year-old lion broken at Kolkata museum

In Kolkata, a priceless statue of a lion, over 2000 years old, has been broken while it was being relocated in the Indian Museum. The sculpture that has been severely damaged is of the Rampurva Lion Capital , built in the time of Ashoka the Great, and acknowledged as a rare specimen of Mauryan culture.
