In the wake of a massive landslide that practically wiped out an entire village near Pune in Maharashtra, a report has emerged that hints at a similar threat looming over the world famous Ajanta caves in the state. The caves, declared a world heritage site attracting nearly 5,00,000 tourists annually, are situated in the Aurangabad district.
