Delhi election results: Ajay Maken quits as Congress hits zero

As the Congress was reduced to zero seats in Delhi, Ajay Maken, who led the party’s disastrous campaign, resigned as its general secretary. “I believe I should take responsibility and therefore resign. I was face of the Congress campaign and haven’t been able to win the seat which I contested in as well,” Mr Maken told reporters, owning responsibility for his party’s decimation in Delhi, which has ruled for 15 straight years.
