How does Budget 2014 impact home buyers?

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced a proposal to raise the tax-free cap on home loan interest for self-occupied property from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. Moreover, the Income Tax exemption limit has been raised by Rs 50,000.
