I Consider National Awards Greater Than the Oscars: Gulzar

Speaking to NDTV, lyricist-screenwriter Gulzar says that he considers the national awards of India to be greater than the Oscars because a person gets the former only once in a lifetime. Gulzar was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contributions to the growth of Indian Cinema at the 61st National Awards ceremony in New Delhi. (Audio in Hindi)
