Is it necessary to re-write the history being taught in Indian schools?
On Prime Time, we discuss with two scholars as to whether history as is being taught in Indian schools requires to be revisited and whether it would help instill a sense of nationalism in citizens. As per reports, a set of books Dinanath Batra would be made part of the curriculum in Gujarat state government schools. Mr Batra had filed a civil case which led to Penguin Books deciding to pulp Wendy Doninger’s book on Hinduism. (Audio in Hindi)
