Kapil Sharma receives show-cause notice from Maharashtra women’s commission

Kapil Sharma has been issued a show-cause notice by the Maharashtra State Women Commission over jokes he made about women in his show. ‘Grandmothers are treated with great respect in Indian culture. The way they are depicted in this show — we have an objection to that as well’ says Sushiben Shah, Chairperson of MSCW. Sharma’s joke on pregnant women that he made on his January 5 episode, in particular irked the commission. (Audio in Hindi)
