On News Point, we discuss the recently conducted sting operation by NDTV in which a few doctors we spoke to were showing readiness to selectively prescribe medicines in exchange for a commission. We ask on the program whether the medical fraternity in India has lost its credibility; or is it because of lack of basic awareness and curiosity among patients to know about their illness, diagnosis results and reasons for being prescribed a particular set of medicines.
