Narendra Modi, the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, referred to Mahatma Gandhi as Mohanlal, and not Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi at a rally in Rajasthan on Tuesday. Mr Modi has already received a stack of middle school history textbooks earlier this month from the Youth Congress, which said it was a Diwali gift to help him “improve his knowledge” of the subject.
