Onion prices on the rise in some parts of the country

A big test for the Narendra Modi government with onion prices on the rise in several parts of the country and food inflation at a 5 month high. Onion prices have jumped in Chandigarh, Raipur, Bhubneswar, Shillong and Visakhapatnam. In the capital too onion and potato prices are on the rise, the government assured that prices would normalise in the next few days.
