Rape for revenge?

Shouldn’t women’s safety or the lack of it in West Bengal become a major issue this election? That’s the question we are asking after two women from the same family were gang-raped in Howrah on Tuesday. The women were members of a family that supported the CPM. The assaulters were allegedly Trinamool supporters. One of them named in the FIR was even a Trinamool candidate in last year’s panchayat polls.
