Report says UNESCO World Heritage Site Ajanta Caves vulnerable to landslides

In the wake of a massive landslide that practically wiped out an entire village near Pune in Maharashtra, a report has emerged that hints at a similar threat looming over the world famous Ajanta caves in the state. The report, sent to the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) way back in 2011, mentions how the hills nesting the caves have turned weak owing to exposure to the elements. (Audio in Hindi)
