Rs 2.5 crore cash, allegedly hidden in Congress candidate’s car, catches fire

Burnt currency notes worth nearly Rs 2.5 crore were found in an abandoned vehicle bearing a sticker of a Congress leader from Telangana on the outskirts of Suryapet town in Nalgonda district on Wednesday. The car was travelling from Suryapet to Huzurnagar when the currency caught fire. The driver and others fled the scene.
