Sathasivam’s appointment as Kerala governor sparks debate

With the appointment of former Chief Justice Sathasivam as the governor of Kerala, opposition parties have begun to allege that that post was given as a reward for his judgement in a case against Amit Shah. We ask on Prime Time whether appointments of governors need to have a set of clauses. Also, have governor appointments have become so politicised that an honest person’s image gets tarnished by being referred to as someone who has or does favours to the ruling government?
