Sheer harassment: BJP’s Vijay Jolly writes “Accused” at Shoma Chaudhury’s house

The relentless politics over the Tehelka case took an ugly turn today when BJP workers gathered in protest outside the residence of the magazine’s Shoma Chaudhury, defaced her nameplate and blocked her car, heckling the journalist as she was leaving home. They were led by the party’s Delhi unit chief Vijay Jolly, who was seen painting the word “accused” above the name of Ms Chaudhury, who resigned this morning as the magazine’s Managing Editor amid criticism of the way she has handled allegations that Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal sexually assaulted a young reporter in Goa earlier this month.
