In the post-Snowden atmosphere of distrust where tech firms including Google, Microsoft, Facebook were forced to share users’ data with the US government, is the Indian poll panel aware of the implications? In the absence of a comprehensive law on privacy, does the Indian state even care? Should the Election Commission remove the data available online? We discuss.
