Teen attempts suicide after police inaction against alleged rapists

After sitting on a fast for four days, a teenager, who was allegedly raped by four men, has consumed poison to protest against police inaction in the case. “She seems better than earlier but still needs to be kept under observation,” a doctor at Bijnor’s district hospital, where the girl is admitted, said. The girl has alleged that she was raped by four men when she was returning from her tuition classes on February 2. The young girl filed a police complaint and then sat on a fast-unto-death demanding the men be arrested.
