Top Court reprimand not directed at Us: Uma Bharti to NDTV

On a day the Supreme Court reprimanded the government for not showing urgency to protect the river Ganga, Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti told NDTV that the court’s anger was directed at previous governments, not theirs. She said several ministries were working on a composite plan to clean up the river and their efforts would be appreciated after a year. The feisty minister also spoke on her mission to detect and revive the mythical Saraswati river.
