Under fire for turning away dhoti-clad judge, elite Chennai Club rethinks dress code

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association Club in Chennai, which was recently in the news for denying entry to a Madras High Court Judge for wearing a ‘dhoti’, has decided to re-examine its dress code after coming under fire. As per the club’s dress code, only members and guests dressed in pants, collared shirts or T-shirts and wearing leather footwear can be allowed entry.
