Union Budget 2014: Expectations from Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will showcase the new government’s economic agenda when he delivers his maiden budget today. There are huge expectations that the budget will unveil bold reforms in a bid to bring the Indian economy back on track. The PM has warned “bitter medicine” is needed to heal Asia’s third-largest economy and improve battered government finances. While the industry is looking for a big push for manufacturing and infrastructure, the aam aadmi wants relief from rising prices.
