Violence at gates of Haryana ashram where ‘godman’ is hiding

The police today used teargas shells and bulldozers in an offensive to force self-styled godman Rampal out of his sprawling ashram in Hisar in Haryana, where thousands of his supporters had guarded him for days, formed a human shield to prevent his arrest. Journalists were also allegedly beaten by policemen, who snatched cameras.
