We are scared of Modi, but Rajnath is like Vajpayee: top Shia cleric backs BJP

After a controversial meeting with Rajnath Singh, influential Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad today declared his support for the BJP president in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from where he is contesting the national election. “We are scared of Narendra Modi, but Rajnath Singh has the acceptability of Vajpayee,” the top cleric told NDTV’s Barkha Dutt.
