West Indian players showed their respect for Indian fans: Sunil Gavaskar to NDTV
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar told NDTV that the decision of the West Indies cricketers to take the field for the fourth ODI vs India in Dharamsala showed how much they respected the Indian fans. He said everyone was aware of what was going on between the players and the board over the pay dispute. However, Gavaskar also pointed out that it was sad for fans in Dharamsala to not get a competitive international game, given how they don’t get enough international matches. Now a commentator, Gavaskar felt the West Indies players’ hearts were not in there and he felt the visitors did not give their 100 percent to the game which India won by 59 runs on Friday.
