Bedding

The ideal litter for small animals such as guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and rabbits is a non-toxic wood pulp based bedding. When choosing a bedding, be sure to avoid cedar based beddings – most small animals find cedar odor to be toxic. Choose an odor controlling, super absorbent bedding mix to keep your pets clean and dry. Find the right mix for your pet to give them a safe and comfortable home.

Pellet Bedding

Pellet beddings is a good alternative to wood pulp based beddings. Pellet bedding can absorb up to three times the amount of moisture, is dust free and perfume free, and is still able to lock up unpleasant odors. Use this type of bedding for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, gerbils, ferrets, hedge hogs, and reptiles.

Water bottles

Water bottles are the best way to get your small animal pet the water they need. Look for high quality water bottles made using stainless steel tubes and ball and durable plastic. Clear plastic bottles allow you to see the water level throughout the day. Be sure to give your pet fresh water daily.

Homes

Sturdy, spacious and colorful cages provide excellent homes for hamsters, mice, or gerbils. Look for varieties that come complete with a water bottle, food dish, exercise wheel, climbing ramp, and several spots to hideout. A good cage will be made of durable plastic that allows for expansion add-ons.

Small pet treats

Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small pets love a little variety in their diet. Treat your pet with nutritious treats filled with vegetables, fruits, nuts and grains. Small pet treats come in many varieties and provide needed vitamins and minerals to keep your pet healthy and happy. Treats should not exceed 20% of pet's total daily dietary intake.

Play pens

Play pens allow your pet to safely enjoy the outdoors. A good play pen gives your pet the ability to move around more freely, enjoy the sunshine, but most of all will protect them from unwanted predators. Pens come in all sizes, look for smaller sized pens for your hamster and larger sized pens for your rabbit or guinea pig. Always keep a close eye on your pet when they are out doors – provide them shade and plenty of water.

Running Wheels

The best running wheels are silent when used and have a solid running surface to provide a safe source of exercise for your small animal pet. Plastic wheels feature smooth treads to allow for a surefooted grip while creating a comfortable, safe running surface. Running wheels can be free standing or attached to a wire cage.
