New Delhi (IANS) - With the flagging off of a special bus, a national campaign against ragging will be launched in Delhi University (DU) Wednesday.
The campaign titled 'Bus Aur Nahin' will be flagged off by Vice-Chancellor Deepak Paintal outside his office in the main campus area at 10.15 a.m.
"The special, colourful bus will travel from Delhi to Chennai covering eight major cities. The bus will have volunteers from the chosen states along with drawings, paintings and posters pertaining to no ragging," said a representative from the Muthoot Foundation, which is organising the campaign jointly with the DU.
Furthermore, students from various universities will be signing a petition, pledging themselves against ragging.
"First ones to sign will be the DU students. In addition, there will also be a singing competition among the students at the flagging off ceremony tomorrow (Wednesday)," he added.
