Eye on elections? BMC passes projects worth Rs 1,800 in 2 days
Mumbai: With an eye on the Lok Sabha elections, the Shiv Sena-BJP led Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has passed 45 projects worth Rs 1800 without any deliberation in just two days. This includes major infrastructure projects like road proposals worth Rs 800 crore, storm water drain proposals worth Rs 150 crore and development of gardens worth Rs 150 crore by the standing committee. The agenda for these proposals were given to standing committee members just hours before the meeting.
