Defamation case: Kejriwal moves HC against magistrate court order

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday moved the Delhi High Court against the magistrate court order which has sent him to 14-day judicial custody in the Nitin Gadkari defamation case.
The High Court will hear Kejriwal’s plea on Tuesday.
Kejriwal was pulled up by the lower court for his “arrogance” in refusing to pay the bail bond and extended his judicial custody.Kejriwal had refused to pay the bail bond saying that it would prove his admission to guilt.
BJP leader Nitin Gadkari had dragged Kejriwal to court after he named him in his list of “corrupt politicians”. Gadkari had sued him for defamation.
“I have done no crime and I have been jailed where as he is still moving around free,” Kejriwal said on Friday.
