BJP hits out at Congress for ‘mysterious’ death of Syama Prasad Mookerjee

Punjab BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia on Monday accused Congress of concealing the truth behind the “mysterious” death of Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

“People of this country have sacrificed a lot for the nation, but Congress does not accept the sacrifices they made,” Kalia said while paying floral tributes at Mookerjee’s statue on his birth anniversary on Monday in Rajasthan.

“Prasad died for the country, nobody recognized his sacrifice. People were not told the truth about his death”, he said.

Kalia blamed Congress for the “mysterious death of the founder of Jan Sangh”. He said that the ideals and thoughts of stalwart Mookerjee have always been inspirational.
