9 killed in landslides in southwest China

Nine people have been killed inlandslides that struck southwest China’s Yunnan province last week.

Nine people were buried as the disasterhit Xiaoxin Village in Dongchuan District of the provincial capital Kunming City last Tuesday, the district’s publicity department said.

Two bodies were recovered earlier while seven were retrieved later in the week, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
