Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai, who stood up against Taliban and was shot in the head for promoting education for girls, has reportedly admitted that she does not have a mobile phone.
Malala’s admission at a conference showcasing cell phone provider Vodafone’s initiatives to support women was acknowledged with a chorus of chuckles by a visibly charmed crowd.
According to Fox News, International Development Minister Justine Greening offered to give her a spare cellphone.
Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Vodafone Chief Executive Vittorio Colao, who was seated in the front row during the conference, could soon gift Malala an advanced mobile phone.
