London – Parents in Germany will now have the choice to leave out the gender of their new baby on the registration form owing to a brand new ruling in the country.

The ruling aims at relieving pressure on parents to immediately determine their child’s gender and stopping families from “agreeing hastily” on surgery to settle the sex, the Mirror reported.

Now, passports will have a third option marked as X or “intersex” apart from male or female.
