Bangladesh receives WHO polio free certification
Bangladesh received the WHO (World Health Organization) Certificate as a Polio free country.
The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mumbai, India, Samina Naz received this certificate from the Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan in a programme held in Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday.
The programme was jointly organized by the government of Maharashtra, WHO, Aditya Birla Group and Rotary International, said a Foreign Ministry press release today.
Bangladesh has been declared as one of the ten South Asian Polio free countries and certified by WHO.
