You must have heard that health is wealth and that stands true for all those who suffer from chronic wounds in India.

Ending miseries of all, we have a good news for you. Now, scientists have come out with a new solution for those who are suffering from the misearable issue.

In a new study published in the journal ACS Nano, researchers have claimed that peppermint oil and cinnamon are the answer for Chronic wounds.

There is a new way to package antimicrobial compounds from peppermint and cinnamon in tiny capsules.
Such medicines will not only kill biofilms, but also actively promote healing, and can be used as a topical antibacterial treatment and disinfectant.

The study reveals that many bacteria clump together in sticky plaques in a way that makes them difficult to eliminate with traditional antibiotics.

It can be testing times as the approach can be expensive with doctors sometimes recommending cutting out infected tissues, however, due to its invasive nature, many patients opt out of treatment altogether.
These essential oils and other natural compounds have become an alternative substances to get rid of pathogenic bacteria.

Through the process, the antibacterial activity will be translated into treatments, which is a difficult task, mentioned Vincent M Rotello, who wanted to address this challenge with his colleagues.

The researchers packaged peppermint oil and cinnamaldehyde, the compound in cinnamon responsible for its flavour and aroma, into silica nanoparticles. The microcapsule treatment was effective against four different types of bacteria, including one antibiotic-resistant strain. It also promoted the growth of fibroblasts, a cell type that is important in wound healing.
