2002 Naroda Patia massacre: Maya Kodnani gets bail

NEW DELHI – Former Gujarat minister Maya Kodnani, convicted in a 2002 Gujarat riots case, has been granted bail by the Gujarat high court on medical grounds.

Kodnani has been diagnosed from intestinal tuberculosis and heart ailment.

Kodnani was convicted of inciting the mob to go on a killing spree which led to the death of 97 persons in the massacre at Naroda Patia on February 28, 2002.
