Honour killing: girl shot dead by father in UP
In a suspected case of honour killing, a girl was allegedly shot dead by her father in Baniyather area, police said on Monday.
The 22-year-old girl was shot dead by her father Ram Chandra, with a country-made fire-arm in Narauli town last evening, station officer Kunj Bihari Mishra said.
Prima facie it seemed to be a case of honour killing as the girl had married against her father’s wish, he said adding, the accused has been arrested.
