Tehelka case : Goa court permits Tarun Tejpal to visit unwell mother
Tejpal seeks in-camera hearing of bail plea
Panaji – A court in Goa today allowed Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal, who is currently in jail on rape charge, to meet his ailing mother.
Mr Tejpal, 50, has been behind bars since November last year for allegedly raping a junior colleague at an event in Goa.
The Goa Crime branch has filed a charge sheet against him for rape, outraging modesty and sexual harassment of a woman journalist.
Mr Tejpal had moved a plea before the court seeking permission to visit his ailing mother in a hospital in Goa.
