India’s leading carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has now rolled out the popular Celerio with a CNG kit. Called as the Celerio Green, the new version will come up with a factory-fitted CNG kit, and will return an impressive 31.79km/kg (claimed) mileage.
Powering the Celerio Green is the same 1.0-litre KB10 mill that is also found in the regular Celerio. However, with CNG kit, it returns 58bhp, making it about 10bhp lesser powerful than the regular Celerio. The installed CNG kit is the same MSI patented iGPI system, found on the Maruti WagonR and Ertiga as well.
Like we informed in an earlier story, Maruti Suzuki is also working on a small 1.0-litre diesel engine, which might be installed in the Celerio as well by 2015.
The Celerio Green is priced at Rs. 4.68 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
