Feng Shui encourages a person to use objects and place them in such a way that there is an increase in positive energy in the environment. Even while decorating and furnishing your house you can use the principles of Feng Shui. You can choose colors, fabrics and objects that will increase positive energy to decorate your house. Use the five traditional elements of Feng Shui while decorating your house. Decorating in such a fashion will ensure that there is a balance in energy and emotions in the environment. Here is a list of things that you must include when you are decorating your house in Feng Shui style.

The five important elements according to Feng Shui are fire, wood, water, earth and metal. So use things that represent these elements to decorate your house.

Things that represent Fire:

  • Art or sculpture with sunrises, sunflowers or geometric abstracts.

  • Things that are made of metal.
  • Silver color, gold color, copper color and jewel tones.
