Navratri - The nine days of festivities that mark the coming home of Lord Rama from 14 years of exile is celebrated with a lot of religious fervour in Katra. The Shrine Board and Jammu Kashmir Tourism Board jointly organize the celebrations at Katra. This is also the time when the holy shrine is visited by multitude of devotees. One of the highlights of the festival organized at Katra is the devotional songs competition.
