Colorful, Vibrant Souvenirs to religious artifacts throng the marketplace of Amritsar

Tradition meets the trendy in this city, which is a haven for shopping. Punjab is known for its handlooms and handicraft items and Amritsar offers all that and more to avid shoppers.

Exquisite handicraft items with Phulkari (traditional embroidery) work done on them are a must buy in Amritsar. Lacquered woodwork, interesting collectibles in ivory, sandalwood and rosewood are some of the specialties.

Amritsar is also a place where you can pick up your woolens at very reasonable prices. Handwoven carpets, Punjabi jutis, Patiala salwars are other popular items.
