Shopping In Goa

Trendy Designer Boutiques to Bargains Galore! Goa is a place where you can literally shop till you drop.

Flea markets to trendy boutiques, Goa has it all. If you are a solid bargain hunter, then the Friday market at Mapusa might be an ideal stop for you. Open from 8 am - 2 pm, you can find anything big and small. The thumb rule is bargain and bargain hard. In Anjuna, the Wednesday flea markets are famous. Ingo's Saturday night bazaar is yet another shoppers paradise, but compared to the rest two, things are a little costlier here.

For trendy, stylish, up market stuff, head out to Casa Goa, this features classy wear from noted and local designers. In Calangute, Subodh Kerkar Art Gallery, is a must see if you are looking to pick up home decoration accessories like Indian art, ceramics, sculptures etc. Sangolda is an ideal stop if you looking to adorn your home with unique home decorative items.

Local Goan artisans are famous for making unique decorative items for cocunut husks, palm leaves. They are also known for creating unique wooden articles lacquered in bright colors like red, green, yellow. This unique art is called Chitari. Other great places to pick up gifts and mementos are Calangute, Candolim and the beach stretch of Colva.
