The art of Mehandi or henna has been a long-standing tradition stemmed from many ancient traditions dating reverse as far as about 5,000 years, but is most famous today for its history in India. Today, it is still used in sacred and ritualistic ceremonies in India, but has also gained appreciation in other countries as a beautiful art to be appreciated at any time. Mehandi is a provisional and not a permanent art done on the body with a naturally prepared paste, which is also named as henna. Henna powder is derived from a plant, a bush, usually found in the Middle East and other Asia-pacific region, where the type of weather conditions are hot and dry. The bush is harvested, dried, and then firmed to make henna powder.
