Getting Around Udaipur

Buses and Taxis, Autorickshaws are all available to travel within the city. The city itself is pretty small so getting around from one place to another is relatively easy.

A small fleet of inner city buses is available to travel from one part of the city to the other. You can ride a bus to the Sukhari Circle , the Chaat Bazaar of Udaipur or catch one to the main shopping area of Udaipur at Hathipol.

Taxis offer convenient and comfortable travel within Udaipur. Negotiate the fare. If travelling to the outskirts of the city then you might have to pay for the return fare as well if you are taking a taxi. Per day rates would be anywhere between Rs. 1000-1100.

Autorickshaws are probably the easiest way to explore the city. Negotiate the fare before boarding one, as Autos here do not run on meters. Autorickshaws offer the convenience of breaking your journey and exploring numerous places in a single day. A single journey would cost anywhere between Rs. 20-25 minimum and if engaged for the entire day it would be about Rs. 300-350.
